Let's change the world by killing them with kindness, stepping out of our comfort zone and living every day like the adventure it is.

Dear me: your womanhood has power.

power /ˈpaʊə/

the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way; the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events.

Genesis 2:18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

To be a 2020 woman doesn’t come without its fair share of challenges. We are encouraged to be both individual and unique; along with the pressure to fit in and follow the crowd. We are taught to love ourselves how we are, but also to change everything about our appearance, to fit the next image of perfection. The times and standards are constantly changing, so much so, that we’ll never be able to please everyone or anything. We are bombarded with comments from society, men, media, and our own inner voice. But let me encourage you friend that your womanhood has power.

Womanhood is to be celebrated and not to be ashamed of. Being a woman brings something different to the table. We have skills that men do not hold, we are not better or superior, but compliment and work together to bring about the best result. Looking back throughout our past and current history women are remembered for being bold, fierce, intelligent, wise along with their complimentary beauty.

In the bible God made Eve to compliment Adam. We are the helper and carry our own purpose wherever we go. A woman carries the feminine heart of God and provides a mothering nature to the world. We have influence over our worlds, communities, families and online presence. There is power in what we say and how we do things, although we get to choose how that shapes us.

The woman body is constantly under scrutiny, gone are the days of ‘too thin too fat’ now it’s ‘not thin enough or not fat enough’. There will always be a standard of appearance set by the fashion and the beauty industry, that’s exclusive and un-achievable by most. Personally I believe that there is power in the woman’s body. It demands attention and external beauty often comes from inner acceptance and peace.

Let us not shy away of our womanhood but be bold in accepting who we are and how we have come to be. 2020 has been a crazy year for most, but let us conclude the year by celebrating who we are as women and what we have achieved. I have been fortunate enough to hear a positive attitude for women growing up. If that was not what you experienced, then let my words remind you that there is power in being a woman and that you friend are beautiful just because you are female.

How do you own the power of being a woman?
